Why should you upgrade from windows 8 to 10

It has been a while since Windows 10 was released, and many people and offices have already shifted to this version. It was a huge and immediate success, and most users preferred it over its predecessor due to its many advanced features. However, if you are one of those people who still have not upgraded to Windows 10 and need to be convinced of its superiority, here are a few factors that you should consider.

•    Start Menu is back

Windows 8 introduced the Start Screen, which was not very well received. Windows 10 brings back the Start menu, with the positive aspects of Windows 8 Start Screen integrated with it. The Start menu has a list of frequently used apps on the left, with an alphabetical list of all the apps in the system under the commonly used apps list. On the right, we can see the Live Tiles that, unlike the Windows 8 Start screen, do not cover the entire screen. Moreover, these Live Tiles are resizable and can be personalised according to your needs. You can quickly check your unread mail, view your appointments in Calendar, or gain quick access to Office, Netflix, Skype, or any of the other commonly used apps you need to visit.

•    Cortana

Windows 10 comes complete with a built-in personal digital assistant, Cortana. Cortana is smart and learns from your behaviours, preferences, and even your contacts, creating an interaction based on your needs. It also functions as a search bar. You can type in your queries, as well as use voice recognition, making the whole procedure very simple.

•    Microsoft Edge

Internet Explorer had its problems. The new Microsoft Edge, introduced in Windows 10, is faster, cleaner, and has exciting new features, for example, the reading list allows you to save files for reading later when you are not connected to the internet.

•    Snap Assist

You can resize windows to be able to work on more than one app at the same time. Unlike Windows 8, this can be done with all apps and can be done up to 4 windows at a time.

•    Xbox

Even though you could install the Xbox app in Windows 8, Windows 10 comes with an inbuilt Xbox app that helps improve the gamers’ experience. It gives you a complete view of your gaming activities, as well as your friends’ gaming activities. You can also record and share your gameplay, and stream games from your Xbox to your Windows 10 PC or tablet.

In addition to the features mentioned above, Windows 10 offers many other improvements, including the Action Center and Windows Hello. Windows 10 has been widely acknowledged, from the basic computer users to the computer enthusiasts. If you still feel unconvinced, you can use Windows 10 for a 30 day trial period, without adding the Windows 10 Product key. Thirty days later, you will not want to switch back, and will gladly accept Windows 10 as your own.
