1. Create an Inventory List

Electronic devices are highly sensitive to extreme temperatures. Cold temperatures cause metallic parts to contract, and this weakens soldered components. LCDs (liquid crystal displays) can even freeze in extreme cold.
Heat damages your electronics in two ways. Metal parts expand in the presence of heat, thus stressing soldered connections, and warm air contains more moisture, which is highly detrimental to electronics.
If your devices should be stored, ensure they are kept in an area with an even temperature. When moving over a long distance, ensure the boxes are well insulated using appropriate packing materials to protect your equipment from extreme temperatures.
